Brief Bio
Paul Metzger brings passion, intelligence, and creativity to music. Moved by the music of the 70s, Paul began learning guitar at 14. Although he trained to become a chef, his musical aspirations led him to the University of North Texas in 1991 where he studied Jazz Performance. Paul has performed with a wide range of artists including Arturo Sandoval, Robert Earl Keen, Lou Marini, and the Ft. Worth Opera. He is a regular in the DFW music scene, playing original compositions in his own projects and as a sideman for others. He currently resides in Denton, TX, where he also teaches as an adjunct professor at UNT.
